Biography: Loretta began sandblasting and working with glass in 1976. She soon turned her total interest to just stained glass, and in 1982 began a full time career as a glass artist. This year finds her traveling to 15 to 18 art festivals in the western united States. This exposure has given her the opportunity to create custom panels for homes throughout the U.S. Loretta was honored with creating the new stained glass windows for the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church in Klamath Falls, Oregon, in addition to many memorial windows in other local churches. Loretta took her first fine art class, taught by Virginia Landon, in 1985 in Klamath Falls. Her goal was to incorporate painting with her stained glass, but she found a second passion was oil painting. Studying with the late Marietta Collins, Loretta began to paint in a very realistic manner. In 1980, Loretta joined Gallery 803 as a local showplace for her stained glass. In 1987, she began to also include her paintings.

Methods used: Loretta used the Tiffany or Copperfoil method to create her original stained glass designs. A love of the outdoors inspires her to create designs of birds and flowers. For her POP! pelican statue, she will be doing glass mosaic, creating a design of local birds, lilies, dragonflies, and fish.

Artwork on display: In Klamath Falls, OR at Gallery 803, The Coyote Gallery, Klamath Falls Airport, and at the Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church.
