Dori Pace

Biography: Dori is a versatile artist who works with many materials to create her art. These include Raku and stoneware pottery, batik, silk painting, silver and glass bead jewelry, fused glass and painting in oil and watercolor. She has been showing and selling her art for the past 12 years, in local art fairs and juried shows state wide. To learn the skills and techniques needed, she has studied glass at Hot Glass Horizons in Portland and Eugene School of Glass. Georgie's for pottery; silver smithing with Lauralie Barret; torch-worked beads with Michelle Benson; and watercolor with Emma Achleitner. She is self taught in her other mediums. For her POP! pelican, she used oils to paint a scene of the marsh. In August of 2004, she and four other artists opened Clearwater Gallery in downtown Klamath Falls.

Judy Smith

Biography: Judy has been painting for almost 40 years - a pursuit that began when she joined her mother in taking classes in oil painting. Favorite subjects cover a wide variety of wildlife that range from the animals of North America to those found in Africa and India. Expanding her style and mediums, she took classes in watercolor, pastel and prismacolor pencil with Dorothy Hale. Judy works continuously to improve her work by trying new techniques and mediums. She currently teaches an on-going, oil painting class at Clearwater Gallery where she is one of the owners. For her POP! pelican, she painted, using oils, a scene of the marsh.
