Biography: Gordon has been drawing and creating art since the age of six, 66 years ago. In the past 45 years, he has supplied illustrations for numerous newspapers, magazines, books and booklets. His work has appeared in recipe books, association publications, airline magazines, hobby journals, brochures, automotive magazines and books. His logos and designs have also brightened association, event, foundation and club t-shirts, belt buckles, sweat shirts, caps and jackets.

His art (pen and ink sketches and cartoons, oil, water color and acrylic paintings) are in private collections across the country. Gordon also served as the former art director for Crown Publications in Los Angeles (a part-time post), and still does occasional pieces (and articles) for that publisher.
Retired from the newspaper business, Gordon stays busy with teaching drawing classes at Clearwater Gallery in Klamath Falls, writing a column and doing illustrations for Mazda Sports Magazine, turning out weekly editorial cartoons for the Klamath Falls Sunday Herald and News, free lancing art work to ad agencies and the automotive community, and learning new creative ways to draw and paint. Gordon is also an author in both fiction and non-fiction arenas, with stories appearing in books published by Pocket Books, Barnes and Noble Press, Borderlands Press, Crown Publishing and Packard Press, among others. A collection of some of his short ghost stories entitled "Tales from Tidy Vale" has been reproduced on CD and is available from fictionworks.com.

His advertising art work and design have taken firsts in annual competitions sponsored by the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association (1967), the Illinois Press Association (1970), the Newspaper Advertising Bureau (1974). the Oklahoma Press Association (1985), and the North Dakota Press Association (1986).
