Biography: Amy is the owner of the newly established 9610 landscape design and multi-media art company located on a family farm just south of the Henley Schools. Amy earned her degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara where she studied art and architectural history. Eric, who runs the horticultural design aspect of 9610, studied horticulture at Ohio State University, and has landscaped single family homes and planned communities. Both Amy and Eric have worked in many facets of their respective fields across the U.S., and have recently settled in Klamath Falls, combining their interests to form Ninety-six Ten.

Eric's landscape designs promote water conservation through the use of low water and native plants, and proper irrigation methods. Amy's works have included traditional canvas, found object furniture construction, mosaic design and metal assemblage.

Eric's work continues to be on display at private residences, hotels, amusement parks, and commercial properties in many U.S. states and Mexico's Baja Sur. Amy's work has been sold through small boutiques throughout the west and was showcased at both the San Francisco and Portland International Gift Fairs.

Both Amy and Eric have collaborated on residential and resort projects in Mexico, including Eric directing the landscaping for a 4,000 acre private golf course community.

Amy and Eric invite you to view "pelecanus vivus" (living pelican) in spring 2006 in its xeriscaped habitat in their new Demonstration Garden, and learn about the beauty and merits of low water landscape design.

This unusual "living" POP! pelican is artfully enhanced with volcanic and river rock, Italian glass tiles, and live plants that include Thymus 'elfin', Ajuga reptans, and Leptinella 'platts black' that are being watered by an ingenious underlying drip system!
