"Students Take Flight" (March 1, 2006) newspaper article by Holly Owens from the Herald and News was highlighted at the Home Show during the POP! pelican exhibit. The students in Justin Coulter's Klamath Union High School art class were sculpting birds in clay as a first step to create a spiral of more than 20 birds around their POP! pelican. The students plan to showcase their completed pelican on May 13 during the "International Migratory Bird Day" Celebration in Veterans Park - a fun-filled, family day that focuses on birds in the Klamath Basin.
